Just 13 minutes from our campsite in the Haute-Garonne region. Located in the commune of Latrape, 40km south of Toulouse, on the slopes of the Volvestre, sheltered from obtrusive light, the Balcon des Étoiles welcomes you to this village classified as a “star village”.
For over twenty years, the association has been promoting scientific culture. With its professional team of animators and its observation equipment, the Balcon des Étoiles is appreciated and recognized by all.

In the exhibition room, you can contemplate sky objects represented on a human scale.
In the heart of a lunar crater, you'll appreciate the movements of our planet.
In the planetarium, you'll be transported at high speed through the universe to visit magnificent worlds and marvellous nebulae or galaxies buried in billions of stars.
You'll also get a live view of our Sun's bubbling activity, the craters of the Moon and the surfaces of the planets. Outside, you'll find multiple domes housing the telescopes on an open-air terrace.
